have you tested it yet? just wondering because in this photo it looks like a
small gap in between the hood and the snorkel itself. or is that how it is
suppose to be? just wondering

I like how it plays well with your WS lights and factory antenna. Do you have any pictures of the underhood hook-up? Just curious on how water tight the connection is.

it's suppose to have a gap of 1/8 .
for the under hood i will take pictures , i did not tested yet but it will come
it look to seal very good but like the aev you have to put some black silicone .
i downloaded the aev instruction ( pdf ) on quadratec for the installation .

Good find....I looked at these but I couldn't wait any longer and got a good deal through Northridge.

The AEV and by the looks of this system are very water tight. The snorkel fits right into the stock air-box intake hole. You are required to seal up the connection between the snorkel and airbox and all the stock box holes with silicon sealer. I don't have any connection pictures...but I did not have any water or mud come into my Stock box after this deep dive!

Way to go. I have the AEV with a pre-filter and it looks VERY similar. Wish I had seen this first. I did seal mine with the black silicon along with waterproofing the ignition components and all the electrical connections. I have tested it and it worked great.

So, is that an AEV knock off of some sort? And what does it actually say on the side of the snorkle? That price can't be beat!

Actually just reread your post, that was some expensive shipping. By it was still cheaper then what I paid.

Wow, i saw these on ebay too and thought it was a scam, lol. Pretty cheap and looks identical to AEV.

I even sent them a general question about the item and asked how it compared to AEV and I got a thoughtless, prescripted responsethat was already stated in their for sale post/ad, which is what made me think scam.

But glad its not, I might jump on one now...
