Switched to soft top, changed oil, changed diff fluid, lubed up the steering shaft to get rid of the clunkiness.

Stubbed the antenna, installed lights and armrest
Made my own windshield mount light brackets. Cut these out on a water jet (I will share the Omax file if anyone wants it):
http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1663.JPG Welded inside and out at the slot (slot is for easy bending): http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1664.JPG Ground the welds smooth (cuz my welds are not pretty!): http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1665.JPG Primed, painted and rubber backed: http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1670.JPG Bolted on: http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1677.JPG Stubbed the antenna and was very surprised that I didn't lose any stations: http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1689.JPG Installed the Rugged Ridge armrest. Nice. I can see how some guys think it's too far back and have to mod the mod, but I have my seat all the way back, so it's in the right spot for me! http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/HPIM1719.JPG |
Installed my third row seat....works and looks great!
I chose to mount it backwards, seems like more room for feet, and the kids like the view facing backwards. I had second thoughts due to having a dog I carry also. But I can leave the third seat in and fold the middle row down and have a perfect place for the dog and also for gear and other cargo needs. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...p/DSC04141.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...p/DSC04142.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...p/DSC04145.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...p/DSC04146.jpg |
