I busted two CM axles.
On Thursday I attempted to go UP High Dive in Moab. I did get part way up but finished on my winch cable - and it cost me two broken axles. I broke my left (drivers side) Superior CM rear axle and my left front Alloy USA CM axle. Superior tells me that they have sold 800 JK rear axle sets and I got the cherry on breaking the first. I guess thats worth something/
I got off the trail (about 5 miles) and limped into Moab (about 12 miles at 25 mph) in 4 Lo with my rear locker on. I'm really glad the JK's rear axle are semi-floating and not clipped. By the time it got on the tow truck to go home it had 27 miles and the wheel was still retained.
The good news is that the the 5.13 ring and pinion gears held up well as did the Rubi e-lockers. Getting the stub out of the rear axle was easy as it pulled out with a high power extended magnet. The front was a bitch. I couldn't find any way to get it out. I ended up pulling the carrier out an drilling and tapping the stub for a 3/8x16 bolt and then made a home made puller out of some 1 1/4" x 1/4" strap with two threaded hole for push bolts. But I got it out; it would not have been possible to get it out on the trail. I've got my stockers in until my replacements come. Superior hs already dropped one in UPS and David at Northridge is waiting for me to tell him which side I need.
I did learn that even at 58 you can get testosterone poisening and that when everybody your with has bad feelings about something (especially your wife!) it may be a good idea to pull back.
Steve at Moab 4x4 Outpost had a bunch of axles sitting there and could have done a warrantee swap for me but wouldn't; even though Superior would have hand delivered a replacement when their EJS staff arrived in town on Sunday. His stock and that of his store went way down with me over that.
I'll try to post some pics of the busted axles.

I added JK and East Coast stickers today, extended breather lines on front and rear axles and resealed every nook and cranny for the AEV snorkel.

Installed my cruise control unit, now I can survive my trip to Moab later this month. I used the information on this forum as a how-to and it went relatively smoothly after getting the airbag clips off.
