Default Woods Exhaust Kit

I wanted to show off my Woods exhaust kit. This kit relocates the muffler to a position in front of the rear axle. The new muffler sounds great. At idle just barely noticeable, regular acceleration is very mellow, and when I get on it hard (hard for a JK that is) it becomes much more lively, but is not obnoxious. I had SDMF drive my Jeep while I stood outside and listened to it go up and down the street, this kit sounds very nice! SDMF also listened to it so maybe he will chime in here with his opinion.

With relocating the muffler to that location, is it at greater risk to be damaged/ripped off? It appears to be at the same risk as the Evaporative Canister (in its original position). How much heat is being transferred through the floor?

CTimRun, Thanks for posting this up. Glad you like the kit.

Nope. Will work on a 2 door, if you relocate the Evap Canister.

Interesting. I couldn't find a Borla muffler that would fit in that location. I'll check out the Pro-XS.

It's a bit behind and to the side of the factory Evap Can location. Fairly good protection from the rear lower control arms. Definitely better protection than the factory Evap Can location. Could you still rip it off? Sure, but I'd say you have a better chance of hammering the stock muffler.

I have not noticed any heat transfer, and I've been running a magnaflow under the driver's seat for over 10K miles.
