Default Would Like To See 315/75/16 Baja ATZ Pics

Hi All,

I have been on the forum for a while reading but this is my first post. I have done a lot of searching and found some photos but not exactly what I'm looking for.

Can anyone post up pictures of the Micky Thompson Baja ATZ in a size 315/75/16. I specifically want to see a close up of just the tire. I am trying to see how aggresive the side wall tread is. I have seen many different photos of these tires and the side wall tread seems to look different in everyone of them. Some very large and agressive. Others smaller and less noticable. I am hoping for the more agressive look.

I have Cragar Soft 8's 16x8 that I will be mounting these on. Thank you to everyone who can help.

I have several friends with these tires. The old tread pattern was more subdued and less aggressive. The old one has the "wavy" tread look. The new ones are more aggressive with bigger lugs.

I took some pictures from google image search:

Here is the new tread.

This is the old tread.

I saw the new ones at Dunn Tire the other day and they look very aggressive in person. Same concept as Duratracs. They look OK in pictures, but are beefy in person.

Icy - I believe the picture you have as the new tread is the Baja ATZ and is what I am looking at but the picture you listed as the old tread is actually currently available and is called the Baja ATZ Plus. It is a more street oriented version. I have actually seen pictures of the regular ATZ tread pattern where some times the side lugs look very short and shallow. And others look very aggressive. I would be happy with the looks of the one you posted as the new tread. Thank you for looking those pics up for me and helping out.

Does anyone here actually have them on their rig that may be able to snap a few shots? My local off-road shop does not have any in stock and wants to charge me restocking if they order one and I don't like it. They also told me that the different size tires have different aggresiveness to the sidewall treads, not sure if that is true... that's why I'd like to see a recently purchased ATZ in 315/75/16 if anybody's got one. Thanks

Well, I ended up calling Mickey Thompson. For anyone looking at the Baja ATZ their is in fact a difference in sidewall tread between the regular ATZ called the traditional sizes and the ATZ called the SLT sizes. The SLT is only available as an 18" rim and 13" wide tire and bigger. The SLT version get the more agressive sidewall tread. The main tread pattern is the same on both.

I was really hoping the 315/75/16 was going to have the aggressive sidewall tread but I guess I am going to have to settle for the regular stuff. Anyway just wanted to share with anyone looking at these tires.
