Default Is the trans dipstick inaccurate on the 3.8?

My trans won't shift when the fluid measures perfectly. It requires an extra quart and a half to shift. Anyone else?

Are you checking the fluid level with the transmission warm, and engine idling in Neutral or Park?

Mine shifts fine. The fluid level is midway between hot and cold when the JK has been driven to the point the transmission is as warm as it's going to get.

Ah. Thanks. No I was not checking it with the engine running. Thanks a bunch.
