2010 jk went a little to deep.
Went through a pond and a rush of muddy water came over the hood and the engine died. pulled it out drained oils changed plugs replaced battrry. How can I tell if its engine or electrical?

Was your air filter wet?
|
a little damp, I think from initial splash. When it died the water was about the top of my tire and they are 33's. I have gone through this pit a dozen times but this time it just wasnt having it,
|
Dam well might be the engine but maybe someone can help you out
|
Yea, hoping so. Havent had to find a mechanic yet, ive done it myself until now. Trying my 1st one in morning.
|
Was there water in the cylinders when you pulled the plugs?
Will the engine turn over by hand at all? |
When i pulled out number 4 pkug i saw a little dirt water. Blew it out with air hose and let dry for a day before replacing plugs. The engine doesnt do much when i try to turn it over with key. A few ticks with electrical clicks and slight movement of the starter.doesnt do much else.

Giving in and taking it to a shop in morning. Really hope it doesnt become a big deal.

My friend hydro his engine and you could not turn the pulley to save your life |
Pulley does move. Thinking its more electrical. Why would Chrysler put so many exlised electrical boxes knowing this is an off road vehicle. Really blows my mind
