Unless it's changed for the 2012's, the hot oil light is a warning about your transmission fluid temperature.

Nothing's changed, you're right. I just looked at the manual. Maybe he was talking about the change oil light...either way he said putting anything but 5W-30 in there would trigger some kind of light. Then again, no one ever accused a salesman of knowing what the hell they were talking about.

No. If you want it really bad you'll need to have it custom painted at a local shop.

Too bad they got rid of that color, my 08 JKU was Red Rock Crystal Pearl. I wonder if it was a supply thing, it seemed like a popular color.

I wonder if Jeeps "build your own" site is messed up? I'm not seeing the hardtop option for the 2-door only the dual top group.

Yup, it's a little off. I can't configure mine the way I ordered it on the "build your own" either. Just use it as a rough guide.

Just spoke to Jeep customer service representative at 877-426-5337 inquiring about Gecko release. His supervisor told him Gecko was PREVIOUSLY released as a limited availability color to certain dealerships and production has already ceased. He wouldn't or couldn't give me the dates the Gecko color was supposedly produced. Basically a small limited supply of Geckos were built and there will be no more. I told him this was a smack in the face of everything I had heard while waiting for this color since last September and that my regular calls to his customer service number had never told me anything other than the Gecko color was late availability after the first of the year 2012. This is very frustrating!
