Yesterday I ordered a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S and was able to purchase it for @ 2.5% below invoice, ($29,000). I used the 1% below invoice Tread Lightly Discount and a $500 Jeep coupon. It was the third dealer I went to and the only one that would budge lower in addition to the discounts I had. The build details are below, and this price does not include the "non-negotiable" Dealer Conveyance Fee, Registration, Title Fee, or outrageous Connecticut 6.35% sales tax. With all that, my out the door price from Crowley Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge in Bristol, was $31,500. I think this was a good deal.

Go to Jeep's website, order a catalog to be sent to you and check off that you will be buying within one month. If you do that, they will send you a catalog with a $500 coupon attached. Mine requires that I take delivery by 1-31-13. I have read that if you check off any time period greater that one month's purchase time, you only get the catalog.

Perhaps, but unlike many Californians, I have never voted for a tax increase. In any event, a lower tax rate is still too high; there should be no sales tax at all.

The coupon I got specifically limited it to the purchase of a new Jeep and required that I take possession on or before January 31, 2013 for it to be valid. It also is not based on a contract, but delivery, so if Chrysler, or the weather, or any other cause results in me not taking delivery (I factory ordered mine) by the deadline date, regardless of why, then I do not get the $500. I am hopeful that I have enough lead time to absorb any potential delay, but only time will tell.....
