All I see is Internet hearsay. Those whom I have spoken to iterate that it isn't happening for this model (JK) and they highly doubt it will become a production option during the model change in 2014.

I was speaking someone about is this past weekend. And they were mentioning it as an option...
Now I'm afraid to make all these mods to my jeep...only to trade it in for a diesel in the next couple of years.

My sources are Chrysler/Jeep and Dana engineers/executives. Things do change, but the 2013 model year is already into part fitting and finalization (pre-production).

Just buy a brittish one and have it shipped over here in a container. Then buy a wrecked one the same year and do a title swap. and bam you have a JKU converted to diesel. Perfectly legal sort of.
