Do you already have the Alpine (or Infiniti) system or do you have the base stereo? Also on a teacher's salary here and I like the kicker rear speaker upgrade but my understanding is that putting in an aftermarket amplifier and subwoofer will really give the Jeep a nice punch.

Base stereo. I was gonna do the kickers fire the soundbar. I guess that's where I'll start. Maybe YouTube goes to install an amp. Install labor fee is crazy!

Labor is a little high, particularly in our area. A head unit and an amplifier are going to make the biggest changes but they also cost more. I've stuck with just kickers in the rear with polyfil in the sound bar and some small sound deadening squares to take the rattle out of the sound bar. Poly makes the speakers sound better as though they're in bigger boxes.

Thanks for your input on this. I'm probably going to go the same direction. Put some kickers in the soundbar and add the poly. Keep my eyes out for a good priced amp for the meat future. Take care.
