I gotta wonder who gets paid to make these camo kits... I mean, talk about a niche market... :D

Looks like a solid axle on the front to me, yay!

Is it me or does the jeep look longer in these pictures?

I think it is longer in front of the a-pillar to accommodate the 8 speed auto transmission

Awesome, sounds like it's got a HEMI in it.

That's what I thought too. Also looks like the grill (as well as windshield) is sloped to the rear?

Yeah, the windshield and grill slope are ugly. It just doesn't look like a Jeep to me anymore.

I see the added degrees of rake to the windshield but it doesn't seem too extreme and will help with the rock strikes. I don't thing the grill got much of a added rake, I think it's just the camo cover that's throwing you off so it's doing its job.

I don't know about that. By the way the front bumper protrudes in the pictures I'm more inclined to say it's going to get a decent amount of rake as well and then through in the need to improve on aerodynamics to some extent and to me its a given need.

Any word on the manual transmission that will be offered? Will it be the same unit as today's? Will it be updated/improved?

With automakers going to auto braking in the early 2020's, I'll be ordering a manual with the intent of driving it for at least 15 years. It will be the last of the Mohicans. I'd love to hear it has been improved. Mine had the issue of popping out of first gear, but that was fixed with a major TSB, so it hasn't been weak or bad, for me, but it does not have as strong a reputation as it should. The 5 speed and 8 speed autos from FCA seem to have earned a very good reputation. I'd like to see the manual step up and earn the same.
