35" tires

Looking through my weekly catalogs it seems most 35" tires are made for 17" rims. Is seems like you could save a lot of money to go from my stock 17"s to 16" since I intend to get new rims anyway. Has anyone done this?

Ppl do and ppl go to 15s although you need to be careful which 15 u pic do to brake caliper clearance. But as u said most manufacturers are going to 17's and doing away with producing tires for 16s and 15s

Many of us run 35s on 16s. If you plan on upgrading the tie rod, it gets so close it affects wheel balance weight placement. And I doubt a big brake kit would fit.

Thanks it looked that way but never hurts to get other opinions. So the break calipers shouldn't have problems with 16"? Thanks again

Never heard of anyone who had problems with OEM brake calipers and 16" wheels. A few folks have had to be choosy and/or grind a little on the caliper to fit 15" wheels, though.

I ran 16" wheels with 315/75R16's for a few years, never had any issues. I like the way a beefy sidewall looks anyways, I've never been a fan of big rims.

16's work but tire load range is limited to D/E http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...e68ea22dfd.jpg
I would not run a 16" again .. Go 17's for more options in sizes/load range c
