Default 4" Lift issues

I am pricing my first mod and you guessed it, a 4" lift! I thought about only going with a 2.5" lift but know I won't be happy with it. On to my question. Has anyone had issues with their driveline after lifting 4"? I won't dare ask what lift is best, I'm pretty sure thats only personal preference. Thanks for the input.

My front driveshaft made contact with the skidplate and the side of the auto tranny.

Last week my front driveshaft started spitting grease from the CV, so I ordered a JE Reel.

2.5" v/s 4" is a big debate. It can end up costing alot more to go 4".

For example, you'll likely want bigger tires than w/ a 2.5". That means you'll probably want/need to regear. Figure on $1000 to $1500 plus lockers if you want them.

Driveshafts will eventually need to be addressed, especially if you have the 2 door.

Also, when going 4", you'll probably want a more complete lift, wih adjustable control arms and trac bars.

Probably a few more things I'm forgetting. Others will chime in I'm sure.

All in all, no regrets on the 4" and 37's on mine.
