The different blends that the government requires also jacks up the price. $3.69 here is Douglasville Ga. It hurts but with no Jeep payment not as bad. The price of gas also jacks up everything else we buy so that is another hit to the wallet.

$3.79 here in Glendale, AZ. Really sucks when all I seem to get is 13.4mpg.

Drilling for more will not lower the price, just make more money for the oil companies and that's the bottom line.
Exactly. Finally someone who really gets how it works.

The reason we drill farther out to sea is because we can and second because most of North America is not accessible to drilling due to government regulations just go to the Virginia coast and you are looking at massive potential production basin for oil that I am not allowed to explore for because of government.
Yup the government doesn't want to spend the money because they know that the oil will be processed and regulated just like all the other oil suppliers. I don't see that as helping domestic oil prices, but rather putting more money in the pocket of the oil companies and the tax coffers.

I also read Matthew Simmons, author Twilight in the Desert, is now dead... I remember his commentaries during the BP spill.

High gas prices with abundant supply are microscopic compared to high gas prices with low supply.

If you've experienced the latter you know what I mean. If you haven't, hope you never will.

One thing that I've learned, is that I LOVE my JKU so much that I believe I might pay ANY price for gas. I will complain like hell, but I will NEVER give up my Jeep.
