I went from this:

For less than a grand in less than a month...
-$100 for the fenders on craigslist (obviously, if don't have a Sahara you are already money ahead)
-$0 for Red's Fender Trim
-$15 for Door Trim to hide fender cut from Pep-Boys
-$125 for Rubi Rails off craigslist
+$100 from Sahara Side Step Sale on craigslist
-$500 for 7 305/70-17 MTRs and 1 stock Rubi spare (lightly used) on craigslist
+$75 from Rubi Spare Sale on craigslist
-$200 for Spidertrax Spacers from Northridge

And I still have money left over to go towards a re-gear and lockers (THAT'S where the money is gonna add up)
YMMV, but if you are in a major metropolitan area, just search for "JK" on craigslist and you will be amazed what deals you can find if you are patient.
BTW, for another $200 on craigslist I got 4dr Rubi springs and a 2.5" Teraflex BB that is not yet installed... so still under a grand for lift and tires.
