Just got a recall notice from Body Armor stating that their tire carrier swing wasn't made to specs. Says the welds may break and send the tire flying. Anyone else get this notice? and has anyone actually experienced this happening? Just another example of why things shouldn't be made in China. I really like the bumper and carrier design and wish BA would have kept the process here in America.

Bummer,so do they replace it,or refund your money?
Whats the fix process?
Is the recall on both styles of tire carrier/bumpers they carry?

They are replacing the carrier (but not the bumper) for a whole new one. Glad to see they are taking care of it but it's still a pain in the ass. As far as I know it's just the gas can/tire carrier.

Oh shit. Is this the new design or the original design they have with the Jerry can carrier? Can you post the recall letter for other forum brethren to see and dd you buy directly from them or was it through a reseller? Curious as to weather or not I'll get once since it was ordered through a reseller.....
