Call it a very low budget lift

Go taller without going wider, gain 1.2in using factory wheels.
Might even increase mileage slightly.

Currently, the Rubicon comes with: 255/75R17
Infomation based on Tire Rack website:

BFG Mud-Terrain KM BFG Mud-Terrain KM2 (new tire)

255/75R17 255/80R17

Price: $179 $196

Rim: 7 7

Sect Width: 10 10

O.D. 32.1 33.3

R.P.M. 649 625

Weight: 48 49

Talk about a low,low budget lift:rotflmao2:

the inch gain in overall diameter will only "lift" the vehicle 50% of that. So .5inches more ground clearance.

Well, you're only effectively going to get 1/2 of the increase in tire diameter in actual "lift".

Only the half of the tire below the axle is able to "lift" the vehicle.

So, yes, 33s will be better than 32s but, not sure you'll notice a big difference in 1/2 inch of lift.

Guess Goody beat me to it.
