I emailed Jeep about the MW3 winch plate issue. How do you think I should respond? See the emails below!
Dear David:

Brief Description:
Deception in advertising. Disappointed Jeep Owner
Comments:
About three months ago, I purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU MW3
edition.
In print, online and through other places I noticed that the Call of
Duty
MW3 version was "Winch Ready". Today I went to purchase a winch and
found out that I need to spend a whole lot more money to make this
front
bumper, indeed "Winch Ready". Through Jeep, I would need to spend $500
plus and through AEV I would have to spend close to $300 to make it
"Winch
ready". Had I known this, I would have purchased a Rubicon and upgraded
things myself. I feel betrayed and lied to. I have been a faithful Jeep
driver for many years. I would like to hear Jeep's response to this as
I
am sure I am not the first owner to address this. Also, I would like to
know what Jeep plans to do to make these owners happy? Thanks you!

Also, when you write back to them, it's not just the winch plate you need to order (AEV $119) but the fairlead bracket, for a total of $249 bucks, or $522 from Mopar.
Their winch ready to winch capable sticker change is BS. If you are going to offer a jeep with these types of mods, then do it right! Don't fuckin nickel and dime us.

Did your window sticker state "winch ready" or "winch capable"? This is where they dropped the ball and changed the sticker on the late COD Editions. If it states "winch capable" they aren't going to do anything. If it states "winch ready" PM me and I may be able to get you some help. Even if it says "winch capable" there is a little info I can try and pass along to possibly help.
I did what I could for Edge Hawk but they only ended up giving him oil changes. I am tired of seeing Jeep screw people on these 50K Jeeps. I am going to send you my case number, my emails, and everything else related to what I did which I didn't get to send to Edge. In the end I received full reimbursement for my winch mount kit.
Again PM me and I will do everything I can to help you out.
I don't want to put it right here online with everyone and their brother able to read all of my personal info. Anyone else with a COD having this problem let me know and I will do what I can to help you all out there as well.

I was offered 6 free oil changes after my complaint. I bought 36 quarts of mobile 1 and 6 oil filters and a jeep hat, and was reimbursed! (almost $400)

I love my COD but I think Jeep screwed us all with their advertising and hype showing all of the original and not modified AEV components. I may end up fighting them on the hood because I still have web pages saved from Jeep showing the AEV full heat reduction hood. If anything happens there I will let you know

Thanks guys! I am gonna take you up on that offer Deathboyrdee. I checked my window sticker and it indeed said "Winch Ready". If Jeep doesn't take care of me, I'll take it to small claims court and let the judge interpret what winch ready means
