A friend of mine had them on his TJ. He said they got loud and wore quickly. He went with something else. I have heard some decent reviews on them though. I'm sure others will chime in...

No personal experience, but I ran into a guy with a great looking jeep and got to talking with him. He said he had done a ton of research before settling on the Discoverer STT. He got 37x12.5x17s I think. They sure caught my eye. He admitted to it being a daily driver and never off road, but had no complaints about the tire for his situation.

I had them on a frontier that I had. The tires were great in most situations. The wet pavement wasn't great, but the back end of the truck is light. They weren't to loud either. Also the wear was pretty good. The only time they left me stuck was when I drove onto a 10 foot deep snow drift and sank in up to the doors got a forest service cat drive to hook a chain to me and drag me out. That's just my experience with them

I ran them for about 18 months before moving to 35s. I loved them and they performed very well for me. They aren't the greatest on wet pavement (like most mud tires) and will chunk on the rocks a bit. I did not find them to be too loud and thought they wore great. I would recommend them.

Below is a 33" STT (22,000 KM) next to a new 35" MT/R

I find mine are not great in snow just due to the width. I try to stay out of mud. I like them on rocks. Seem to wear good but I do low miles. I don't mind the noise but it's there.
I'd get them again.

I have BFGs now and their amazing in the snow. So would you say you can tolerate them in the snow?

Yes definitely tolerable. I like them for sure. They deform well when aired down and seem good n tough. I plan to get them again in a bigger size.

How are they in
snow...better than average, siped, good on snowy roads, good aired down in the deep stuff.
Mud...average/good, just as good as most decent tires...not bogglers or rockers....better than KM2, Mickey Thompsons etc.
Wear...amazing, best I've seen.
Noise...little above average...not overly loud...gets louder with wear like all tires.

I really like these tires for an aggressive allarounder.

Will buy them again.
