Default Cost for Regear

I am looking to regear and live in the Philadelphia area. I see many people on the forum are getting gears done for around $1000. I am seeing at least double that at a couple local shops. What are others paying for parts and labor?

Default Parts Cost

Motive Gear JK Non Rubicon 30/44 Gear Package and Master Overhaul Kits - JK-NRO-KIT

The cost for the gears and new bearings for BOTH axles is about 500 bucks.

Keep shopping and touch base with a local club about a referral. Don't let just anybody do the re-gear. if not done properly and checked at 500 miles very bad things can happen.

Keep shopping. (cost in the Phoenix AZ area is about 1000 per axle including parts...not that it does you any good in PA)

Remember you have gears, master rebuild kits, gear oil and RTV. The gear oil is changed out after 500 miles so on the East Coast that's about on par.

Got mine done with a Yukon gear package and master install kit from NR4X4 for $500. I got an old guy in the country of Horry county SC to do labor for F/R for $450 total. Does a good job. He did gears for myTJ a couple times for $150 an end. His price went up. Ask around . Dealership will rob you.
