Default Cricket Trailer

Was wondering if anyone had a Cricket Trailer?

They are small, room enough to stand up in, most importantly light weight 1400lbs ( i have a 2dr rubi on 33's), and provide the bare necessities, to go camping in with 2 dogs. (husky, border collie)

I hate to say I'm getting old, and I'm not throwing away the tent. Just thinking about having a nice "base camp".

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

i picked it up, it weighs in at 1500 lbs. All my camp gear is very light as i can carry it all in my 2dr. Tow's very nicely but i'm slow going over high mountain passes.

How is it to haul? The hills have to be killer on your mpgs at least!

Nice. I have considered picking up a small 2 person camper like that or a "tear drop" style camper to tow behind my JK. Had a full sized camper that we are selling now that my wife decided she didn't want her full sized Ram anymore and we traded it in for a Charger this winter. Camper is too big even consider towing with the JK.

I got a Coleman Taos. 1700 lbs and easy to pull behind my 2 door. Lots of room for an 8 ft box.

Looks awesome, love the half doors on your rig, too

thanks guys I noticed going over the high mountain interstate passes 10 000 ft + i slow down to 50 mph in 4th gear. For mpg's i got 17.8 or so. Not bad at all, I was expecting a bigger hit, 6th gear keeps it's speed pretty well but a long hill requires a early shift to 5th to hold speed. and thats with the 3.8L

wow. That mpg is amazing. I have a 2012 JKU. When I have towed a heavy toy hauler (4000-5000 pounds) my mpg drops to around 11. The toy hauler I had was shaped like a box, so that seriously hurt. I didn't think the 3.8's even got 17.8 without towing? Is that all highway?

yes all highway going about 60-65mph. I usually get 19.2 mpg and as good as 21 mpg, but in the 75 mph zones i drop to 17-18 mpg.(not towing)

This trailer is light at 1500 lbs, and is suppose to have some aero dynamics. It was made with the goal of allowing 4 cylinder cars to tow it, specifically the Subaru Outback. It also helps that a former Nasa engineer who helped design space pods is the founder.

Default updates?

So, now I that you've had yours for a little while, do you still use it? Holding up well? I only just started researching them, but there's not tons of information on them out there...
