You can play with the plates on the DMV website. It will let you know if it is available. I have been debating getting a pers veteran plate.

3 years ago i went to DMV website and 0IIIII0 was available - i posted it here on this website with a couple of other choices -

literally the next day went to dmv website and it was taken -

someone from this site saw it was avail and took it -

anyway, good luck with it -
