Decent price on unlimited rubi????
Dealer in my area wants $28950 for an unlimited rubicon, 35000mi with a skyjacker lift, dick crepek wheels and 35" goodyear mt's. My jeep is a 2dr X with Lift, tires/wheels with 46000mi. Is this a decent deal?? Btw. Mine is totally paid off.

I think you can get $16k for your Jeep. The price on the Rubicon Unlimited isn't that far off from what the retail is on it... but that doesn't mean the dealership lacks wiggle room. With the numbers presented, it's not an awful deal.
The question is... why do you want the upgrade? Same year, more vehicle, 10,000 less miles... is that worth $14,000 (plus financing) to you? Personally, I wouldn't make the switch. For $14k... your X could be twice the vehicle of what you are looking at. The only reason to make this move, to me, is because you absolutely need the space offered with the Unlimited.

If that is $28K+ for an '08, it is to high. You can get a great deal on a new '11 Rubicon now in the low 30's. You also can also get 0% interest! You could also buy the new one first, swap parts, and then sell yours for more than $15K.

$28k for a 2008 with 35,000 miles is about right, unfortunately. I know it seems high, but we're talking about the anticipated pricing through a dealer. Conditional on what the dealer paid for the vehicle, there is probably wiggle room down to approximately $26k.

The reason for the trade up is for the extra room. I am fine with my 2dr however i have a wife and child and will surely be having at least one more child in the next couple years. I dont care much for the interior on the newer jeeps, too much like a sports car for me. Plus the cost of having to add a lift, wheels, and tires to a new jeep is not cheap, and this one already has that.
