Difficult decision
Ok, I have been up and down about how to modify my JK....I am about to sell my TJ and once it sells I have ~20 - 25K to play with.
I have run the numbers and talked to many people on the phone. Here is my delima, I have narrowed this down to two choices, Please help!!!
Option 1
37" MTR/Kevlar
Poisen Spider Beedlocks
Dynatrac ProRock 60's Front/Rear iwth 5.13's and ARBs
Tereflex 4" lLCG lift
Total ~21K
Option 2
35" MTR/Kevlar
Poisen Spider Beedlocks
Tereflex 3" with arms (short)
Front & Rear LOD bumpers
5.7L Hemi (self install)
4.88 gears in Stock Rubicon D44's
Total ~18.5K
I am leaning very heavly towards Option 1 with the 37's and unbreakable axles...Plus with this option I can sell my stock Rubicon axles and wheels/tires to recover some of the money.
If it was your money and your rig what would you do? BTW, this is my daily driver and weekend wheeler, I typically do level 6-9 out of 10 trails in my TJ in colorado and of course MOAB.
Thank you in advance for your help

i like option one. hemi's are just so dang expensive you could do so much more. btw when you sell your front rubi 44 i have a friend who needs one so put him on the list first! plus d60's are just so bad ass.
id go with option 1. because a hemi on stock 44's and 35's on hard trails can probally break an axle, alot easier than a 3.8 can.
also cause u can sell ur stock 44's and then use that money to start saving again for the hemi. but in the mean time ur ass is covered axle wise and u look badass with 37's and beadlocks lol.

I kinda like op 2. 1 does little to address the weak ass engine (besides gears). But, it depends on your off roading. If you are crawling a lot and off road most of the time then 1 is the way to go.
Go with the hemi + budget bost and 35" tires. You will be sooooooo happy not to deal with the POS 3.8. On my second JK, wish I would have hooked up my dealer and Screaming Lizzard or someone else and worked the Hemi into my orginal financing. Now, I must wait until I get it paid off......arghhhhh.... Or, maybe in time, Jeep will add another powerplant.
What are your plans for wheeling?
How many highway miles do you drive with the Jeep?
Personally with regearing to 5.13s, I feel I have plenty of power when wheeling with my 35s...and suspect I wouldn't feel any different about that with 37s. And I have the auto...so with a manual and 5.13s...I think you would be good to go.
My vote would be option #1....you can always add the bumpers down the road.
