blast it with a hose like cleaning out mud from frame

Great idea. I wish we could do that when we lose a tool on an airplane at work. It would save many days of downtime.

I'll try that before I go buy a magnet. Thanks for the idea. I'm putting new rock sliders on tomorrow so that will clear some space without the side steps.
