Default Dual clutch benefits?

With the news releases talking about getting rid of the 4 speed and improving the 6 speed and bringing over the Fiat dual-clutch to Chrysler, I was wondering what the benefits of a dual-clutch would be and if it would even be beneficial/practical to a Jeep.

Any opinions as I don't know?

yah its mainly for quick shifting. one clutch is for gears 1,3,5 and the other is for 2,4,6 so when releasing the clutch to shift, the "other" clutch is already engaged. thats how nissan's double clutch works anyway

Dual clutch autos are also more efficient than a conventional automatic.
