Dumbass did it again.
I was drinking my 7th beer and decided to go out in the pasture and sling some mud. I'm fortunate to own 10 acres, with 9 of it as a pasture that has 2 ponds and a creek running through the length of it. It's not much more that 100 ' wide, but it is 1/4 mile long. Anyway, I got stuck in a rut that was about a foot deep and the same across. The front wheels were in a muddy are as well. I was already in 4 wheel high, so i switched to 4 wheel low and locked both diffs. It just sat there and spun the tires. This is black gumbo mud were talking about here. Almost as bad as the gravel/clay that got me just before Thanksgiving. I walked back to the barn and fetched my shovel, put in in the ATV's trunk, and drove back to the Rubi. I dug around all of the wheels to try to make the slope less. What a horrible sucking sound it made when I pulled the shovel full of muck out of the ground. It took 3 attempts before I managed to drive out, but I finally made it out. What a relief. i took some pics with my smart phone, but I need to let my iPod charge before I can transfer the pics to my PC. I'll try to do that tomorrow if anyone is wanting to see them. I'm wondering now if these tires aren't that good in mud.
