LOL!! Sounds like we went down the same path. After the ratchet straps, I started planning to build my own, went to Home depot looking at my options for supplies, then said "F" it, this aint worth it. However, now that I have the Lange in hand if I were to do it again, I may borrow all their measurements and build my own based off of their T bracket with J hook design.
