Field mouse was in my engine
I found a field mouse in the space under the windshield wipers. It at one point was in the glove compartment. I managed to get it out and want to keep it that way I park it outdoors during winter and not that close to home. I put some mothballs in that area as well as other spots around the engine. Has anyone had success preventing this on infrequently used vehicles. I would love suggestions. Thanks.

I had one eat the wiring to my horn, and one got into my glove compartment. Not sure what can be done to keep them out

i think it is a warm engine and cold weather
had one eat the wire to my fuel injector maybe blow in some foam in the spaces you think thier getting in |
Dryer sheets... I swear I put them in the glove box in that open spot and anywhere the can't catch fire in the engine compartment. It's an old trick my old man taught me to keep mice and squirrels out of there. They don't like the smell of them so they stay away

x2 on the dryer sheets, plus it makes the jeep smell nice

Dryer sheets in the glove compartment sound a lot better than moth balls. Thanks.

Hello! This is just my second day checking out the Jeep forum and I felt obligated to add my two cents about the field mouse issue. We have a lot of field mice where I live and I have always been told if you do not want a mouse in it park it on gravel. That's what was recommended to us w/ our RV during anytime we have food in it and not using it for a week or two. That's just one of the old wise tales around the farms here in Kentucky. Hope it works for you like it did us!
