Flats or no flats

Ok so I'm looking at getting the Genright Steel fenders for my build because I really love the look of them. I dont want to cut fenders or get plastic ones to prevent body damage. These are definitely the ones I want. Anyways the question I have is will flat flares dwarf my tires or will it look fine? I plan on adding a winch in the front so my suspension will most likely sag a bit in the front.

For anyone wondering, I'm set on the aluminum/steel flares because I want to have them powder coated gunmetal grey and it doesn't seem like the bushwackers/xenons can sustain a durable coat. However if they can, please enlighten me. :yup:

There's a different tread talking about flares and they were saying how steel/aluminum flares cause body damage more than plastic

I'm not too worried about this as the steel flares I'd get have a bracing that prevents body damage. Thanks for the info though!

Yes they do

I have seen some major body damage done from solid fenders. I have the bushwacker flats and have smashed the hell out of them a few times and they just bend back to shape with no body damage.

I didn't want this to turn into a plastic vs metal vs cutting thread :naw: Just wanted to know if I'd have too much space under there.

2.5" lift and 35s you should be fine, it will look good and you'll have ton of flex

Did you take into account the pics above? I don't think I got exactly 2.5" of lift with mine. And thanks!

You'll look fine with flats I had more room than you do before I cut mine. I'm liking the way mine looks now. (35's 3.5" lift trimmed stock fenders). I'm gonna end up either buying new stock front fenders and recutting them or buying bushwackers.
