Default Going Topless

Taking the top off a Jeep can be a bit of work. I looked into a few roof lifters out there such as roof hoists and portable hoists, but decided on going with a roll away lift by a co any called Top Lift Pros. I am very happy with it. I simply roll the TopLiftPro under the roof going through the back window when up, and lift the roof up about a foot or so, and then roll it into my garage. I can then leave the roof in my garage and simply park my Jeep front end under it. Assembly of the unit took a few hours, but it works very well.

Does anyone else use these? Please share what you use.

Any problems with it so far? Before I lifted my JK, the Top Lift Pro did not go through that back window so smoothly. I had to bend the whole lift to get it in. I guess the stock JK was too low for it. Now that I have a lift and bigger tires, it fits slides under better. I am hoping to rusting occurs on the lift once I have it a while.

Hi my jku is still stock and I have no problems with it . I see by your pic you have one of the older ones. The new ones do not have all the adjustment holes that yours has. I call them about that and he sai. .d it did not need all that adjustment so they redid it . Still the only top lift to use.

I would LOVE to have one of these, but the $1000. price seemed far too high for what's involved. I'm thinking I might put something similar together. In the meantime, I'm planning a very simple hoist system. After 9 years, I finally took my top off last Summer for the first time. I **HATE** the soft top. I'd much prefer to go fully topless and use a Bikini Top of the harsh, sunny days.

Default About time!

That's what I said. Those unopened boxes. I had no clue if everything I needed was there. Worse that an over-filled suitcase or a fat lady squeezing into a girdle. What a fight it was getting that soft top fully closed. I doubt I'll ever use it again! The JL top looks like something I might have dreamed.

I love my Top Lift Pro, but I really need to get a roof rack. Is there a roof rack out there that would be compatible with the Top Lift Pro?
