I gotta say in the early going, i'm surprised. Seems like i've seen a lot of "wait for the 2012" throughout the rest of the forum.... Where yall at?

Seriously, look for the best deal for your budget. The next years vehicle will always have something you might want but for a heavy price. Not much has really changed since 07. The interior and additional paint schemes but really the same vehicle. Unless they change the engine might as well get it now.

I will wait for 2012. Typically model year price increases are about 3% or less, I know there are always exceptions but its a $30K vehicle so I'd be surprsed to see a $3k jump. As far as getting a good deal I can buy at close to invoice through my company and I would want to order mine to get exactly what I want anyway so that is a non issue for me. Finally I know most on the Jeep forums could care less about gas mileage but if I can cut my gas costs by 10% that is a big incentive for me. I just hope the 2012 doesn't leak

I'm getting mine next week (black jku sport), even though I can only get it 2k below msrp, I can't stand another summer without a jeep. besides, the price difference will pay for that extra gas used

Hi all, this is my first post. My wife and I just bought a 2011 Mango Tango Mango JKU Sport 6-speed last weekend! We used to have a TJ, and I gotta say I'm impressed with the JKU. I say go for it if you can get a good deal. $500 Mopar bucks didn't do so bad either. This summer's gonna be way more fun now!

2012 is getting closer by the day. if there were no significant changes to the jeep, I'd say buy now, but I really do think the new engine will be worth the wait. I realize the pentastar is not a hemi or anything, but I do think having a little more horespower and a little better gas milage, over time, will make you eek even more smiles per gallon out of your jeep.
