Default Hard top hoist

Ive had my Jeep Green Sahara for 2 weeks today. The first weekend I spent most of my time taking tops off and trying all the different configurations, (dual top option). Has anyone designed a good one person top removal hoist. I looked at what is available to buy but figure I could build one better. Also I was suprised that DC doesn't want us to have the soft top installed when the hardtop is on. That was one of the features I thought was good.

Just curious, why do you think that is a good feature?

easy place for storage, its out of the way in the jeep and isnt taking up space in the garage,,,

I would think a hoist would be hard since its in 3 pieces

I went to Harbor Freight Tools and purchased the items and built my own hoist system for under $80.

Did you use the electric hoist that they sell? I plan on building a roll a round cart for the top with a place for the other two top sections along with a rack for the soft top when its not in use. Any thought? Just realized I posted on Electronics & sound system, sorry guys, but not sure how to move it.

I used a crank hoist not an electric one.

That system looks so over-kill I bet it could almost lift your JK off the garage floor! I doubt that roof mount would hold though!!
