You think a Z06 is fast acceleration? Strap on an F-111 like a member of this forum used to drive and kick in the afterburner...now THAT's acceleration...

Apples, compare to oranges...repeat.

I'm really happy with the acceleration of my unlimited 6-spd w/ 4.10. I have to be careful coming out of 1st gear if I'm being spirited because it likes to bark tires if I shift quickly.

Well, coming from a 2000 SE 4-cyl, the JK DOES have pickup

I'm amazed that my foot isn't required to go all the way to the floor on the accelerator after every shift...I think my old SE has a big dent in the floor board from me trying to get every bit outta that pedal!

I like my JK,and I didn't buy it to be as fast as my ZO6. I bought it to tool around and have fun in.It does that job just fine..It is nowhere in the same galaxy as fast and never will be..
Z06 wow! I have a 01 Yellow GL1800 Goldwing that''ll do 0-50 in 4.2 seconds and the 1/4 in under 12 while getting 40MPG, and that's where I get my speed kicks from. Off-Road....waiting for my Rubi...80 days left. LOL

haha, I know the feeling, My TJ has a 5 speed, 33's with 4:10's its a terd.

The JK would smoke the tires off when it was stock.

It very quick now with 35's and 5.13's. I have no problems passing anyone on the highway. It runs 75-80 wihout a problem, and still has balls left.

If I really need to get on it, I downshift into 4th, and it'll go without hesitation...

Motorcyles are a whole other ballgame.. My CBR 600f4i does the quarter in about 10.6 with me riding it..Never tried timing 0-60 but I would guess under 3.5..

I road race instead of drag race.. 40 mpg on a goldwing is impressive!

Default Accel is good....but the passing, i'll second that

I can't wait till K&N makes a standard fit in filter. I did this to my Commander, and the accel has at least improved by 20%. I'm not really looking for a full intake air system because of my past 4x4 history of getting water in the engine from past trips (NO MATTER WHAT COVER THEY STATE IT HAS.) So that might help a little bit....

ON the flip note, I do have 3.21 , but would like to see any opions on improving acceleration with gears like that and stock 17s. I hate downshifting up here in the rockies constantly, but it does comes with the territory....
