Default Haynes Repair Manual

As I'm a newbie when it comes to Wranglers, I've been searching for thing to read about my 2017 Sport S.

Couple of months ago I was searching for a Chiltons or Haynes manual, and everything I could find stopped at model year 2011.

So either I missed it, our they've updated the Haynes Repair Manual because it covers from 1987 to 2017 now.

Here's the table of contents, I found it at Haynes website.

Introduction
Chapter 1: Tune-up and routine maintenance
Chapter 2: Part A: 2.4L four-cylinder engines
Chapter 2: Part B: 2.5L four-cylinder engines
Chapter 2: Part C: 4.0L and 4.2L six-cylinder engines
Chapter 2: Part D: 3.8L V6 engine
Chapter 2: Part E: 3.6L V6 engine
Chapter 2: Part F: General engine overhaul procedures
Chapter 3: Cooling, heating and air conditioning systems
Chapter 4: Fuel and exhaust systems
Chapter 5: Engine electrical systems
Chapter 6: Emissions control systems
Chapter 7: Part A: Manual transmission
Chapter 7: Part B: Automatic transmission
Chapter 7: Part C: Transfer case
Chapter 8: Clutch and drivetrain
Chapter 9: Brakes
Chapter 10: Suspension
Chapter 11: Body
Chapter 12: Chassis electrical system
Wiring Diagrams

And their website is where I bought it from too.

Regards,

Craig

In my experience neither Chiton or Haynes should be trusted on their torque specs. At least if it is something critical or easily broken form over toque. Granted it was 15 years ago the last time I messed with one, but both the Chilton and the Haynes manuals I had had disagreements with themselves on torque specs throughout. Sometimes they said a bolt was 30lb. Torque spec on one page, then 3 pages later say it was 55lb.

Not a super huge thing, just something to keep an eye on. They are not the only sources that can't keep their numbers straight, I have also come across this (after breaking off a bolt) with some of their more modern online counterparts.

Edit: one of them, I don't remember which, said in their Third Gen F-Body Manual (82-92 Camaro and Firebird) on one page that the head bolts on a small block Chevy should only be torqued to 25ft.lbs. Haha!

Appreciate the heads up on the torque spec's for sure!

If it can get me up to speed on the basics it'll be worth it, I'm hoping all my torque spec's are still under warranty haha.

Thanks,

Craig
