Default Help me decide on options! :)

Hi guys! I'm starting to get really excited about ordering my JK and need your opinions on which options I should go with. I'm torn between a few and need some information to help me decide since I'm a Jeep/SUV "virgin".

Here's what I'm getting:

4x4 Unlimited X 4dr

Here are the options I'm currently interested in:

* S package
* Auto
* Power group
* Dual tops (should I get the freedom top, or just the soft top and get a Bestop hard top later?)
* 17" wheels
* Infinnity Speakers (I'm leaning towards keeping the standard sound system)
* Floor mats
* Side steps

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should get the freedom top or a Bestop, 17" tires and the speakers.

How's the gas mileage with larger tires? Is it better? How about the ride; smoother?

What about the speakers? Are the factory speakers pretty good, or should I just upgrade to the better ones?

Any information would be great! Thanks for your help!

* Rear Slip Differential
* Infinnity Speakers

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should get the 17" tires, the slip differential and the speakers.

How's the gas mileage with larger tires? Is it better? How about the ride; smoother? Is the slip differential worth it if I don't plan to go on trails very often?

Can you say "school bus"? Sorry, I just think that the yellow might be more palatable in the 2 dr format.

Just my 2 cents.

You can say school bus...but yellow is my favorite color. If there can be yellow Ford Escapes and Hummers, I can have a yellow JK.

Now...about those options....

The 4.10 comes standard with an automatic transmission so I'm good there!

With the automatic you will get the 4.10 gears.

Get the limited slip. Can't hurt anything and might come in useful sometimes.

Get the Infinity system. Sounds great for a factory system. (Unless you are going to replace the head unit with something else...)

And have lots of FUN...

Does the limited slip come with the Rubi? I know the lockers do, but can't remember if LSD comes with it too.

No, on the Rubicon the rear axle is not limited slip. When not locked it is an open differential. However, you do have the "brake assisted traction control".

I wouldn't recommend the Limited Slip. The Brake Lock Differential feature on all of the JKs works better than a LSD already, and you can't put a lock-rite, or other gear replacement locker in the LSD case. I think you would be wasting your money. It is YOUR money though... Get the "S" package for sure. It adds cruise control, fog lights, deep tinted windows, leather steering wheel, and maybe a couple more things.

Does anyone know about wheels? Is larger better? I'll be doing a lot of highway driving and didn't know if I should stick with the standard 16" or go up to the 17". Any information would be great!

Thanks for the help so far!
