I decided to let the dealer handle this as it is after all their responsibility. I go in this morning to my dealer after waiting 6 days for an appointment to see their "top specialist." They also had a bulletin from Jeep that allowed them to order the "fix" from Jeep for the solution. As it turns out the fix is NOT any type of spray. It is actually the identical tape that was already in my Jeep! They are doing this on leaky tops from the factory to try and help seal the seems! It looks like crap and I cannot believe they are trying to pass it off...
But basically it is a heat activated tape that is supposed to seal the sew holes. Well obviously by my pictures below show it simply does not work, not to mention look terrible...
So after these rough 6 days I have FINALLY got the dealer to replace my top. The new top wont be here for a couple days so there will be even more waiting...
I love my Jeep but am disgusted at how I got treated when I purchased their top of the line....

DAMMIT!!! Mine has that tape crap along the rear seams. I guess I will have to wait until a downpour and see if it leaks. My top still had the orange factory tag/seal when I put it on, so I know the dealer didn't spray it Maybe I will test it with the hose at home???
