How deep can the JKs go?

Just wondering. Took the JK off-road for the first time and was amazed at what it goes trough.
I know the intake is at the very top of the hood, but how deep can we go before we get stuck or mess something up?
Does it matter if they are auto or manual?

As long as your in 4 Lo and keeping a constant speed through the water no excessive you should be good as long as it doesn't go over the intake your fine.

If you have a manual, don't shift when you are in water deeper than the drain slots below your clutch. Also, look into raising your diff and transfer case breathers.

How do I do that? I was in water up to my running baords with Auto JK. Should I be worried?

make sure your diff breather tubes are not loose or off!

Snorkels are your friend.

Without a Snorkel the good rule of thumb is not over the passenger side headlight. The problem really is the airbox and flooding it, since the 3.8 will hydrolock very easily.

Also don't Banzai just slow and steady and make a bow wake as you ford the water.

crawl under the rear of ur jeep, on the rear axle on the passenger side ull see a rubber house coming out of the axle and up towards the wheel well, its a good idea to take it and extend it into the taillight compartment, i know thats all giberish to u but there is a write up on projectjk website
