I am in my Mid 30's and have had a Jeep since my late 20's and will hopefully be driving one until I can't drive anymore.

Daily Driver all the way

37, Married, 4 kids, Daily Driver, 3rd Jeep.

We have gone on several trips to my mom's house, 2 hours away, even bring the dog. I did have to buy a hitch rack to put luggage on. I would drive this thing to the beach (Florida/Alabama Coast 8-10 hours) in this thing and not think twice about it. I just have to figure out how to get all the luggage we bring down there. That is why we drove the minivan this past summer. For trips around town, games, school, wherever, we, the kids preference, is to go in the Jeep. My wife doesn't drive when I am there, so we go in the Jeep 90% of the time.

Oh, I bought my YJ when I was 18, when I got out of Army Basic training. My gift to me.

How old are you and which JK do you drive?

Thanks
Your wife is partially right. She just doesn't see the whole picture.

My love affair with Jeeps started when I was a kid, but I didn't own one until I was teenager and after more than 20 years and several Jeeps it's still going strong as ever.

I bought my JK as my fun car (a toy of sorts) and second vehicle. I drive a fair
amount almost every day in the congested SoCal roads, so I spend at least a few hours in my DD.

After less than a week of owning my JK, I dreaded driving my truck, so I promptly made my JK my DD and my truck is my ... my ahhh ... my second vehicle and hauler.

Now, since I installed my AEV lift, 35's, gears and Flashpaq you have to drag me yelling and kicking to drive my truck which I have decided to sell.

I actually look forward to my drive home, to see how my Flashpaq programming is going to make my JK behave today.

I bought my JK for myself as a 30th birthday present. I'm getting married next fall and my fiance has a 12yr old daughter that I just took offroading for the first time last weekend. She loved it, and is totally gaga over the Jeep in general. It is my first Jeep, but that is only because my old man talked me out of it previously due to them being too "impractical". I wish I would have bought that new TJ I was looking at way back in 2000. Instead I ended up with an Isuzu Rodeo which treated me well, but was no where near as fun

Well, I'm almost 55. Bought my Jeep as a retirement present to myself. (I've wanted one for 30 years!) Figured it was now or never. I love it!

Default My Setup

I am 30 years old. Married with 11 mo old daughter.

I would have been happy with the JK at any age, have found this setup to work perfectly with the family DD.
