Post Interesting article on grade 5 vs grade 8

So was just looking around to educate myself a bit more on why grade 8 is important, then I came across this link:

Anyone have luck finding lock/stover nuts in grade 8 (and not Nylock locking) ? I have bolts/washers that are grade 8 but the stover nuts only seem to come in grade C? Any forseable issues with using the grade 8 bolts in conjunction with grade c stover nuts?

I got everything from Bolt Depot. Ended up getting these for my lock nuts:

Hex lock nuts nylon insert, Zinc plated grade 8 steel, 9/16"-18

I believe others are using this too. Is this not going to work?

TeraFlex has these gusset/washer kits that can help with this.

Front Trackbar gusset that can help prevent the stock hole from egging out.

These FlexArm cam-bolt washers are designed to fit into the OEM spot for the cam-bolt adjusters. These washers prevent the FlexArm bolt from potential movement by locking the position of the bolt.

Thank you senoir! Looking at the page, the markings on the nut appear to be exactly what I have. Threw me off when I have a bolt and washers that are zinc dipped (yellowish gold) and the nut finished in silver. I think Im good to go!

Default rock krawler lca

just an fyi... as i read on a previous post on the forum, the replacement 9/16 bolts do not fit in the axle side of rock krawlers LCAs. so i just left the stock bolts on those.

Default RK LCAs

yeah supposedly the stock bolts are 14mm which are in the LCAs now. i tried to put the 9/16 bolt in the axle side joint and the thread slides in up to the non threaded portion.. then it bottoms out. the bolt diameter is just a hair to big. the 14mm bolt fits good its just that its threaded the whole way.

Thanks for the information. So if the lower joints on the LCA's are actually 14mm, I wonder if the grooves in the threads will still cause an issue. I doubt it, but I suppose you could always pick up some 14mm shouldered bolts just to be on the safe side. I don't plan to because I really don't think it will be an issue. Thanks again.
