Isn’t there a seal that goes on back side of dash to windshield?
I had some repairs done on my willys… now the dash has a seal that seems to be half on and half off… I feel as though they may
not have replaced it correct? Thoughts?
Yeah, I had that piece of weather stripping fall off my dash when I lowered the front window frame during my cage install. Unfortunately it had fallen completely off before I realized it was even there - so I had absolutely no idea where it had come from.
Hah, hah - funny thing was - even the parts department at my local dealership had no idea where it was supposed to go - not a diagram to be found.
Anyways, after far more time and beers than I will ever admit to, I figured it out. It attaches to the front of the dash - in a groove just below the the leading edge.
Here is that ‘hidden’ groove under the leading edge.
The weather stripping has a ‘rib’ that holds it to the dash

Hope this helps,

this is clutch! Do I need to use adhesive putting this back on or does it slip on and stay?
You know, there was no signs of any type of adhesive on mine - so I guess it is supposed to stay attached on it’s own.
Having said that though, I’ve had my front window down on several occasions now, and the weather stripping has fallen off each time.
I can’t see any harm in using a little rubber cement to hold it in place - I would shy aware from anything more permanent (superglue) just in case you wanted to get it off in the future for some reason.
