The Jeep Gods were smiling on me today!
I was at my home office looking for some used Rubi rails on this forum (instead of working like i should have been) when my phone rang. It was my wife and she tells me that I need to come and help her right away because she drove her Suburban into a ditch. I hustle over and find the Suburban with the passenger side rear tire in a deep ditch and the tire is spun 10" into the mud. The ditch is so deep that the drivers side front wheel is 2 feet off the ground and the entire rear suspension is compressed into the wheel wells. By the time I rolled up in my rig a crowd had gathered and everyone was telling her she needed to call a tow truck. I park the Jeep open the back and dig out my recovery gear. While I'm rigging up to pull her out the wife is saying things like "I guess we're going to see if all the money you've spent on the Jeep is worth it". The bystanders are admiring the Jeep and saying things like "you sure are prepared, I wish MY husband was more like you". Since this happened at my 4 year old daughter's school all of the bystanders were MILFs which made the whole thing even better. Of course I was able to pull the Suburban out easily and once I put all the straps and stuff away my wife gives me a kiss and says "well, you were right (she never says that) it looks like buying all of the toys paid off". Then she tells me to go ahead and buy something else new for the Jeep (she must not know how much a Tereflex 4" long arm kit costs). Anyway, it was one of those moments that ALL of us Jeepers live for, thought I'd share.

I'm so glad I'm a Jeep Guy and not Mini-Van Guy. My favorite thing to do is pull up next to Mini-Van Guy at a light (especially when the top and doors are off) and give him that look like I feel sorry for him. You can tell that the poor guy has had the life sucked out of him and has basically given up on being even a little bit manly.
