Doesn't rise to that level, but I live in one of the areas of NJ hardest hit by superstorm Sandy. At daybreak after the storm there was destruction all around. I went out in my JKU to check on some friends & coworkers. Water was still up around 24-30 inches deep in some neighborhood streets. There were vehicles abandoned in the road that tried to make it through. I just drove through at a nice steady pace, with a bow wave in front of the jeep. I was able to make it around several towns that did not have the National Guard with barricades. We had no phone service or electricity. I was able to drive about 10 miles away to get cell service to call my family to let them know we were OK. From that experience, I have determined that I will always have: rifle, shotgun, handgun, generator, gas, and a vehicle capable to get me & my loved ones out of town.

My Jeep has yet to earn its rescue badge officially. It's gotten me through some pretty nasty, slick, and snowy weather during my travels but that's it so far.
I haven't ridden out with the guys from Chisom Trail for a rescure op, but I regularly wheel with those guys here locally. I do go out and do rescues during ice storms as they happen during the winter months here in NTX, though. Lots of fun for me and people are extremely grateful. Just doing my part to raise awareness about the Jeep community!
