Default JK in Japan

Shocked and pleased to see three different JKs on the streets in the town I've been staying in the past three weeks. I have also seen at least 5 older Wrangler/CJ models.
If you think gas is expensive in America, consider ¥150+ per liter. ($5.50+, depending on the exchange rate) Driving a JK here is serious dedication to the joy.

I can't wait to get back home to my wife and kids, but also behind the wheel of my girl. I'm afraid I'll be driving the beater more often, though, when I return. Hearing about the price of oil over $135/barrel hasn't been welcome news. And for all you Bush-haters/libs, you'll be disappointed to know that, unlike you, the rest of the world doesn't ever mention George Bush being culpable when discussing the price of oil!!!!
