JK Toolset?
With all the options the wrangler possesses for configuration, I'd like to have a small toolset for the trunk compartment so that if I feel like taking the doors off or lowering the windshield, I can do so at a moments notice.
So, I was wondering if someone knows of a JK toolset that can be purchased or assembled. exactly what size wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. does one need to handle the JK?
Please post em here.
I need to know what tools are used to:
-lower windshield
-remove doors
-remove sidesteps
-remove soft-top
-am I missing anything?
Thanks,
Mark

I have 2 socket drivers (small handled 3", and large handled 6"), three Torx sockets (30, 40 and 50), a short and long 13 mm socket, a shop towel, my wheel lock, the door nuts, and those little rubber things that help retain the door strap. I can do everything but the sidesteps (probably another size socket if not 13mm). It all stays in my glove box, and the dealer gave me a little sack for all of it.
Thats fantastic. Thanks Zoomzoom, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'll have to gather the same stuff.
If anyone knows of a retail version that can be purchased in a nice little kit, please post.
Thanks,
Mark

I took a sharpie and blacked out the name. I think I might get a "Badge" to cover the marker marks too. But the bag came with some cleaners that will never see a jeep. My dad can use them on his mustang though.
www.harborfreight.com There tools aren't the best but, they are cheap. So if someone breaks into your jeep, you are not out to much cash. I learned on my first jeep not to leave expensive tools in your jeep. They got me for about $400.00 worth of snap on and craftsmen.

No, unfortunately not, I have a retarded dealer that gave me a "Dodge" one. I took a sharpie and blacked out the name. I think I might get a "Badge" (patch) to cover the marker marks too. But the bag came with some cleaners that will never see a jeep. My dad can use them on his mustang in exchange for the large ratchet I took from one of his sets.
