Lockers!

I want to lock my sport! On a budget as is most jeep fans, but i still want to lock this thing up. What is your best bang for your buck? And best types of systems? Not sure on air or cable??

I love my Eaton E-lockers. Transparent on the street and work great off-road. No compressor required!

I just put an Aussie in my front axle, it was pretty cheap and easy.

How big of a difference did you notice with just the front locked?

Best $300 mod you can do to improve off road performance.

I'm thinking about getting this.

I was thinking about getting this.

19695-010 Eaton Elocker E Locker Dana 44 3.73 Down F/R

What do you guys think? Also what else am I going to need with it? I'v never taken a Diff apart but is this something I can do in my garage? or is it best to just have a professional who works on transmissions everyday do it?

That's a tough install if you've never set up gears before. Any locker that replaces the carrier is really a job for a pro or at least someone who's done them before. A "lunck box" locker that installs in the stock carrier is much easier, but it isn't selectable. If you don't 4WD in the snow, then that really doesn't matter.
