MV-50 hose length

For those of you who have one mounted under the hood, did you find the hose length to be sufficient? If not, how did you rectify it?

Thanks!

Nobody has one?

i have one, but its not hard mounted.. i pull it out of the bag when needed..

the only tire thats a bit harder is driver rear, because batt is on pass side.

Thanks! I was going to mount it under the hood and hardwire it. Looks like I'll need to get some sort of fittings and a longer hose.

my friend also has one, and he opted to mount it under pass seat.. he has no carpet, so no worries of heat burning carpet.

i dont believe that comp is water tight, so it might get damaged with underhood mount..

also u could just get the correct couplers, and get a 25' gates hose, like the kind in a shop.

I mounted one of these on the Sinister Fabworks bracket that mounts on the brake master cylinder.

Included hose barely makes it to the spare on my Unlimited. Stretched out to the max...

4 tires on the ground are alright tho.

Be careful with it tho. First time I filled all 4 tires the compressor got hot (to be expected) and a poorly soldered connection on the motor let go. 30min of take-it-apart and fix crappy chinese soldering and it has been fine ever since.

I changed the junk hose and connectors to standard NPT stuff and get a better, longer, hose. FWIW, I used the Sinister Fab bracket, too.

Are they even weather resistant? I have one and have always thought about mounting it under the hood.

The compressor head run's real hot on these enough to burn your fingers, better put a heat sink on it unless you like getting burned

The head is covered w/ fins so I don't know where anyone is gonna put a sink. It does get hot...the QD is even hot enough to require gloves after airing up.
