It truly is a darn shame, its just impossible to find good shops in my neck of the woods, so I feel your pain. Hold in there, at least you and your wife didn't get harmed in this incident.

If you want to have Lunatic or Screaming Lizards do the work up here in DFW (Both forum sponsors and both do good work from my experience ), I have a couch you can crash on for free. I'm right in between both of them.

there is no place that really specializes in jeeps or 4x4 around me. I have to either go to Big Bear or Pismo, both 2.5 to 3 hours away !!

I feel your pain !! We had a local shop here that had similar drama and has now gone out of business..........
