So this is probably a dumb question, but as a new jeep guy looking for advice, I'll go ahead and ask. For those living in northern climates with a hardtop (2 door), what is the typical strategy for taking the top off? Do most look for a week that that is going to be sunny and dry and take off the whole top and doors? On weeks of uncertain weather only take off the front roof panels?

This is is going to be my daily driver. I would like to have the roof off as much as possible this spring and summer but I realize it is a bit of work to take put on and off all the time. Should I purchase a cab cover? Suggestions?

Find a used soft top and swap out seasonally. I have tried to run just a hard top in the northeast and you end up never taking it off as it is a pain to put back and forth. For the $300-500 for a used soft top it's well worth the investment.

Congrats on the Jeep, everyone has great advice!! If your not sure how to take top off, freedom tops, doors, soft tops, then take advantage of YouTube!!! Freedom tops are great for short trips, driving home from work on a nice day maybe. You will need to check the forecast taking your hard top off, maybe start by taking it off for the weekend. If you have a garage park it there over night if your worried, but if I were you I would take everyone's advice and get used to the jeep for a while...see what extra's you need/want. The beauty of being a Jeeper is setting your Jeep up the way you like it. Honestly there are so many ways to customize, and that's what we all love about Jeeps!!! Don't forget the jeep wave, that's a must too...welcome to the club. ✌️0lllll0
